Friday, August 8, 2008 - Natalie Cole is "Still Unforgettable"!

Natalie Cole is doing her best to make sure her dad's velvety voice lives on.
The daughter of jazz and pop legend Nat King Cole, Natalie Cole (who has forged a successful career in two phases, doing RB/urban contemporary and then jazzbased pop) has announced the release for Still Unforgettable, a follow-up to her soulful Grammy-winning 1991 cover album Unforgettable: With Love, which featured the singer's infamous digital duet with her father Nat King Cole on the crooner's classic 1951 ballad "Unforgettable."
It's technology that has allowed the pair to share the spotlight, considering Cole's father died in 1965, when she was only 15.
Still Unforgettable, due out Sept. 9, will feature a host of pop standards and another father-daughter duet, this time on "Walkin' My Baby Back Home," which Nat recorded in 1952.

"You never get over missing your dad as the years go by, particularly around Father's Day," Cole said in a statement, and it's the fans who sent her back to his catalogue "looking for more treasures—and I was not disappointed."
Recorded at the historical Capital Studios in LA and produced by Natalie herself, the album features classics 'Walkin' My Baby Back Home' a duet with Nat King Cole, 'Come Rain or Come Shine', 'Here's That Rainy Day' and 'But Beautiful'. A brand new video for this song and an EPK is being created for TV promotion.
